We're paying around 900 but that's bridal bouquet, mums corsages, buttonholes for all guests, arch of flowers where we get married, table decs, 2 large pedestals, mantlepiece of floers and venue decoration bits. Think it really depends on what you want, what flowers you choose and the area you are in hun x

I'm having roses for my bouquet and the girls' anyway. Will that increase the price? xx

Our flowers are 246 for 2 bouquets, 1 venue display, 66 carnation buttonholes plus fancy rose buttonholes for: the groom, best woman, 2 ushers, 2 dads, 2 pageboys & 2 orchids for the mums.

Church flowers are extra so we will give them 200 to decorate the church.

I was quoted 1100 for my flowers, bm flowers, 2 pedestals, 3 window displays, 6 table centres, button holes for 6. This was for roses and lots of green stuff!!! Couldn't believe the price, we have since decided to marry abroad, much cheaper and less stressful!

We kept our costs down by having a large pedastal display that the florist transported from the church to the reception venue for us, meaning we only had to pay out for one!

We had mostly roses (9 table centres, 8 button holes, 3 corsages, brides bouquet and 1 bridesmaid's bouquet) she also sprinkled rose petals on a further 3 tables. It came to 730.

I'm starting to worry now, I only have about 350 in the budget for flowers and was hoping not to pay that much...

I'm after
my bouquet (predominanty late sunflowers with butterflies on wires)
bridesmaid bouquets (probably 3 gerberas and some butterflies on wires
Table centrepieces, gerberas in tall vases with butterflies on wire which I can use a couple of in the ceremony room rather than pedestals.
Buttonholes, but not sure what to use yet as gerberas may be too big and make the boys look like clowns...

Any suggestions for buttonholes?

Is that going to be possible in my budget do you think???

320 for the following

my bouquet (yellow roses)
2x bm (small mix of yellow and pink roses)
4x buttonholes
1x fancy buttonhole for groom
1x toptable decoration
8x vases of daffodils

extra 60 to hire bay trees

dont despair, i was also given two other quotes of 500 so it is possible t find a florist who will provide the same for less.

Mine are 620 - no church flowers - which is about 4% of my total budget - apparently you should allow around 5% of your budget for flowers.

actually we have very very similar ideas on flowers. My local florists (glos) gave me a quote around 350. mini geberas are for buttonholes and are quite popular.

I didn't realise they would be that expensive. I've got to get in touch with the florist that my friend recommended to me to get an idea of the price. I'm not getting married in a church though, don't know if that will make any difference?

4 x bridesmaids bouquets (white daisie)
1 x flower girl bouquet (white daisies)

Groom's buttonhole (gerbera/crystal)
Groomsmen's buttonholes (white daisies)

Buttonholes for mum/pop/other close family members

Tall clear vases for each of the 10 tables with pink gerberas in and voil bows

Small shot glasses with pink gerberas for the top table

we were quoted 700 for:
1 bridal bouquet
4 bridesmaids bouquets
& 5 buttonholes.
I know.... its expensive, but the flowers were amazing. However, we arnt going with that comapny, or those flowers.

Weve decided to have red carnations with crystal pins and a flower pin to match the hair pins, maybe with wire sat around the base and down the handle. I am having a medium red bouquet and the bridesmaids are having small white bunches, with the bestmen and dads wearing white and fred wearing red carnation buttonholes.

Tables will be decorated like this (8 round) ...Flowers with red carnations and then my bouquet and the bridesmaids on the top table. I am still waiting for the quote but im sure it will be quite low since im having a friend do them.

We're paying 950 for:

1xbridal bouquet
7xbridesmaids
1xchurch pedestal
20xpew ends
1xsmaller display for church
9xbuttonholes
5xcorsages
13xtable centres
1xtop table
Cake decoration

So loads for our money! Having Phalanopsis Orchids in the bouquets, and quite and eclectic mix for the others.

We have a family friend who is a florist, so she is doing ours discounted.

Although beware, our cost has gone up from the original quote due to increased transport costs - flowers are getting more expensive!!

Ican't wait to see them all finished now - I'm really excited about the flowers!!

about 350 to include:

1 x Brides Bouquet
1 x adult bridesmaid
6 x gents buttonholes
4 x fancy female buttonholes
Pedetal
Top Table long/low arrangement
Cake topper
2 x thank you bouquets

I am saving by making my other two bridesmaids (children) their posies and I have made a wand for my flower girl

I have searched long and hard to find a good and reasonably priced florist but most came up to be around the 350-450 mark.... so I've had to change the arrangments I want in order for it to come within budget.

You may find a florist that offers certain packages, and if you can be flexible on the type of flower they may be able to be more flexible on price (depending on the wholesale price when they place the order).

Hope this helps x

Blimey, cant believe how much you have all paid. Im glad we had H2B auntie doing ours (a florist) and it is our wedding present. Dread to think what it would have cost though seeing what you have all paid. We have kept our flowers to a min thou, not having any in the church or for table pieces other than 2 on top table. We are having:

My Bouquet - tear drop style
3 Bridesmaids - white roses
Groom & Best Man, plus 3 Ushers Button holes
FOB & FOG buttonholes
Page boy buttonhole
MOB & MOG corsages
2 small square vases filed with white roses and another flower (cant remember what)

I have budgeted 1500 for all my flowers. just in case as the list is growing by the minute! I don't think it will be anywhere near that, I just don't want to be caught short.

For:

My bouquet
4 Adult bridesmaids

Registrar Table (to hopefully double as the cake table)
Top Table
10 x centrepieces
A big old fashioned cart full of flowers and things instead of a pedestal ( this is my splurge :( )
2 Trees for behind the top table

Button holes x 10
Corsages for 3

3 thank you bouquets 2 for mums & 1 for friend making my cake

and little berries to go in the bows of all the chair covers - 102 of them!

I'm going a bit different - we're having button bouquets. I like the idea of flowers but hate that they won't last! This lady is amazing www.iheartbuttons.co.uk and she is so lovely! Overall I'm paying about 350 for my bouquet and 5 bridesmaids - for the church we are sticking with the flowers that get done on the church weekly, they will do in our colours if we ask and give a bit of a donation. The bridesmaids really like them so can keep them as part of their gift, and I get to keep mine (on display!) forever! She will also do matching buttonholes for about 8 each (I think it was) so actually probably won't work out much more than if we had flowers xxx

I'm allergic to real flowers so am not having any. I'm might have a silk/foam bouquet (but not yet made a decision on that one) and am looking at spending no more than about 20.

My bouquet
2 BM's bouquets
6 button holes
Main arrangement for top table
6 table centrepieces which were jugs filled wiith flowers
flower displays for 7 windowsills
